GBL Systems is a leading system engineering and software development firm located in Camarillo, CA, with a 30+ year history of developing tomorrow's Electronic Warfare capability today. GBL specializes in the areas of Systems and Software Engineering, Electronic Warfare, Network Centric Warfare, Modeling/ Simulation and Avionics Development.

As part of a dynamic team, GBL Engineers contribute to all aspects of the software development process, which includes requirements definition, design, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, and in-service support to various US and Foreign Military customers. Work location is at GBL office in Camarillo, CA.



Qualified applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Current active SECRET clearance is desired. Must be able to obtain an Interim Security clearance within first 90 days of employment.



The UI Engineer role focuses on developing visually appealing interfaces and maintaining interactive dashboards using React and Python, alongside ensuring quality through unit tests and version control. Proficiency in React, Python, Docker, testing frameworks, and visual reporting tools like Grafana is essential, along with effective collaboration skills within cross-functional teams to implement UI features and stay updated with industry trends.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop visually appealing user interfaces for software products.
Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations.
Write unit tests to ensure the quality of UI components.
Manage software version controls and documentation.
Utilize React, Python, Docker, testing frameworks, and visual reporting tools like Grafana.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement UI features.
Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies to enhance UI development processes.

Requirements:

Combination of technical skills in frontend development, backend integration, testing, and visualization tools, along with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in React for building user interfaces.
Strong command of Python for scripting and backend integration.
Experience with Docker for containerization of applications.
Familiarity with testing frameworks for automated testing of UI components.
Knowledge of visual reporting tools such as Grafana for data visualization.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of experience of development work with algorithms
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

Salary Range: $99,000 USD to $175,778 USD. Salary is based on current qualifications, related experience, and contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
