Come build your career with us.BAE Systems is looking for an experienced, motivated Mid-Level Systems Engineer to work in an Agile, fast-paced deployment environment. The qualified candidate will support the development and implementation of an analytics and modeling software tool suite. This role involves working on technical planning, system design, and implementing solutions that meet business requirements, while collaborating with software engineers, mission engineers, and other stakeholders.Employee Benefits: At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life, including their health and financial well-being.   • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 4+ years related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications
  • Experience with Agile software development practices and Agile management or issue tracking tools such as Jira
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, etc.)
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes
  • Experience with Cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
  • Understanding of User Interface design and development practices
  • Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces and geospatial data
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Understanding and application of modern software development and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience with documenting system architectures, creating data flow or workflow diagrams, describing data models, etc.
  • Experience working in a cross functional-team, collaborating with other disciplines (e.g., Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Mission Engineers, UX Designers, etc.)Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Experience with UML/SysML modeling tools such as MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect
    • Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA)
    • Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
    • Experience with decomposing Features and identifying Acceptance Criteria for Features and User Stories
    • Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
    • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
    • Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
    • Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
    • Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships)
    • Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates
    • Strong oral and written communications skills
    • Good planning and organizational skills
    • Holding an active Top Secret/SCI clearance would be highly desiredPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
