Job Description:

A company is looking for an Insurance Verifier to manage patient financial clearances and insurance verifications.
Key Responsibilities

Communicate with insurance companies to collect and document necessary information for financial clearance of patient visits
Coordinate with insurance providers and departments to obtain referrals and pre-authorizations, documenting findings in appropriate systems
Calculate patient liability and ensure compliance with insurance benefit verification and authorization requirements

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2 - 5 years of administrative experience in a medical facility or health insurance verification preferred
2 - 5 years of customer service experience or related call center environment preferred
1 - 2 years of experience in a call center and hospital patient account billing, with knowledge of reimbursements from insurance companies preferred
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods and work extended hours when required
